About me
I moved to New York City from a small town in Pennsylvania when I was 18 years old to study fine art and photography at Parsons School of Design. After college I was awarded a Fulbright grant to spend a year and a half photographing life on the Greek island of Kythera. When I returned to New York I decided to start a wedding photography business that would incorporate my fine art background with a photojournalistic style of shooting, and FOTOVOLIDA was born.
What it’s like to work with me…
On shoots I like to strike a balance between creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere for my clients while maintaining a professional and detail oriented drive to get all of the shots they want.
What other work do I do…
When its not “wedding season” I typically spend my time traveling and working on personal multimedia, photography and film projects. My work has appeared in PDN Top Knots Wedding Photographers, Casa Vogue, CITY Magazine, ELLE Magazine, Hey Hot Shot!, Nord Éclair, PDN Photo of the Day, Time Out New York, Washington Post Magazine, and VICE Magazine as well as being showcased in exhibitions throughout the world. I have also published book of photography entitled One Year on Kythera which was awarded third place for best documentary photography book at the International Photography Awards in 2015.
